edge. (“we”, “us”) operates a hiring-intelligence platform that delivers qualified hiring signals and decision-maker contact data to recruitment and HR teams. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. This document is a template and should be reviewed by a legal professional before publication.

2. Data we collect

Account data: your name, email address, company name, and job title when you sign up.
Usage data: feed settings, signal interactions, search queries, and feature usage logs.
Contact data (enriched): names, job titles, and email addresses of individuals at companies identified as hiring signals, sourced from third-party data providers.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

3. How we use your data

To deliver and maintain your signal feed and associated features.
To process payments and manage your subscription.
To send service notifications, product updates, and support responses.
To improve our matching algorithms, scoring models, and data quality.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access.

4. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

Performance of a contract: delivering the service you signed up for.
Legitimate interests: fraud prevention, product improvement, and business analytics.
Consent: analytics cookies and optional marketing communications.
Legal obligation: record-keeping required by tax or company law.

5. Data sharing

We share data with trusted third-party processors that help us run the service: cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and contact-data enrichment providers. Each processor is bound by a data processing agreement. We never sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active and for up to 12 months after closure for audit purposes. Enriched contact data is cached for up to 30 days and then refreshed or removed. Usage logs are retained for 24 months.
